I can’t believe that my debut novel, The Little Theatre on the Seafront, has been out in the big wide world for one whole year!

It makes me so proud to think that my debut novel has been bought and read by people, and that it has been available in The Works – a high street shop! Never in my wildest dreams did I think my first book would be sold as a paperback in an actual shop alongside so many authors I admire and love. Or that it would be shortlisted for the Katie Fforde Debut Novel of the Year award by the Romantic Novelists Association. It really is crazy.

Even though I had a two-book deal I always worried my debut would tank so much that I’d never get another contract but thankfully, that hasn’t been the case!

Thank you to everyone who’s bought a copy, read it, or reviewed it. When I get readers contacting me to tell me how much they enjoyed it, it really makes every moment of insecurity and self-doubt worthwhile. You’re all amazing and I love you to bits!

So, happy first birthday my little book baby! Mummy is so proud of you! (Don’t worry, I’ll stop now before this gets weird!)
