First of all, I cannot believe that we are already into October! My kids have only got two weeks left of the term then they’ll be back under my feet for a week (I love them really!) and we’re fast approaching Halloween (one of my favourite times of the year!).
What will you guys be doing to have some fun this Halloween? We like to watch kid-friendly scary films, go trick-or-treating, and eat Halloween themed food. Let me know what you’re up to!
Secondly, I’m now publishing some articles on Medium, so please nip over to their site and have a look around!
And thirdly, I’m finally coming to the end of a project I’ve been working on through the summer. The first in a series of short stories in my new, ‘A Village Romance,’ short story series will be published soon!
Here’s the draft book blurb:
Nothing can drag Freya Daniels away from London and the life she loves. Nothing that is, except for a lecture from her mother and some guilt-ridden pleas for help. Aunty Lillian’s bed and breakfast is failing and Freya’s marketing skills are needed to help save it. But can she do the impossible?
When she arrives at The Little Rose Guesthouse Freya meets cute but studious Will Marshall, and the handsome lord of the manor, Jonathon Lord. Luckily she isn’t looking for love right now, but does fate have other plans?
The Little Rose Guesthouse is the first short story in the A Village Romance series.
I’m super excited to get this out into the world and really hope that people like it. I love short stories and I think while everyone loves cosying up with a good book, there is something to be said for short form fiction. It’s perfect for reading on your commute to work, or when you haven’t got lots of time.
So, what do you guys think of the blurb? Does this sound like something you’d like to read? If you have suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments section.
